Author Topic: The Poet/Writer thread  (Read 1467 times)

I can make poems at the top of my head, most of the time.

So, share some poems or pieces of whatever that was written on here.
And if its not yours, please give credit to the author.

I have made poems, but ill share a phrase i made.

Sometimes, the best thing to say, is not saying a single word at all

Sometimes, the best thing to say, is not saying a single word at all

That's just a rewording of an old phrase.

hey guys, here's a phrase i made.

...A phrase I made

I saw a flash in midnight ocean, dimmed from the moon.
I dunked my head below the water, fish swam past my legs.
They dashed for corals and rocks, terrified by me.
My eyes began to twitch, from glowing beams.
It was sunken below.
Forgotten.
Alone.
I felt a chill sweep over my body.
Like a glacier, standing patiently.
And i awoke.

If you aren't somebody then you're never not alive ever

Moonlite Toast
by Scott "Swholli" Hollingsworth

Now it seems,
I can't stop thinking of her.
This is what happens when
I complicate romance.

Up late,
In the wee hours
I stare and wonder then
Of my small chance.

My mind
Wonders to romantic,
And needless,
Notions.

Silly notions that
Don't need to be thought of
But still I confess
Solid emotions.

Is it because
I'm not all right in the head?
Or perhaps, my lack
Of sleep.

Though the feelings are real,
I bloat them too far.
To that I have a knack,
To take them too deep.

A lonely man on a lonely night,
My heart flutters at the mention
Of her name.
And I faint at her beautiful sight.

And so I drag to the sunrises,
With night spent long of thinking.
The feeling's always the same:
Like being drunk on moonlight.

No untruth has kissed my lips
Departing from the stinging red drum
I could easily say I've swallowed the earth
Such events are far in between
I could disown my participation
Like a million feet unseen
As they take their paths across a room
Forming a dance I cannot see
A million steps unheard
A million steps unseen
Not with a bang but a whimper
Or a mixture of the two
With a scream not a whisper
As I am the monster
As are you

I have seen the man with the golden tongue
I have seen the diamonds in his eyes
Behold the insurgent cataracts
I've seen his million words fall bleak
Flutter down to dust and ash
Light seeps in flickers through rotten teeth
Burning bright with absence of fire
Bemused with loving gestures
Reaching up for the pull chain
It fades

Memories
by Miles "Xerces" Incley

A memory is a replay,
A captured moment in time.
Which before us our regrets may lay,
Yours unknown to mine.

A memory is a replay,
A film often without sound.
I wish I could hear those words you say,
In memories I've found.

A memory is a replay,
A perfect portrayal of imperfection.
The window into a past time and day,
To see our reflection.

A Light in the Dark
by Miles "Xerces" Incley, for Corrin

I remember...
When you lit up my world
With your bright phase.
But soon the clouds rolled in,
Shadowing the days.

The world crumbled around me,
My hopes and dreams became dust,
Yet you remained,
The beacon of hope and trust.

Then your light was shadowed,
By the uncertainty in me,
I fell farther,
And I was lost, certainly.

From darkness there was light,
She realized my fault, and
Pulled me up.
And you stood there still.

I'd found you once again,
But I was changed.
I was in the light,
Unbound, unchained.

huehuehue, I know Corrin.

"A tree" By soviless and slimabob:

I think I'll never see a poem as hard to make as a tree.
For poems are made by fools like me,
but only badspot can make a tree.

Haikus are easy.
But sometimes they don't make sense.
Refrigerator.

Jade's more than a jewel
She holds key to my heart
She is god's best art
First time I saw her my I felt like my heart was melting
I was loving
Her eyes were jewels
She would shine in the middle of the other girls
I could feel my heart reaching my mouth
She's cutiest girl i have ever seen

That died.
She started liking someother guy who just stare at her ass and try to forget her
I felt my heart breaking like a glass
I could beat up that ass
But I couldn't, it would hurt her
I would do anything for her
She's gone to me

Once the cutiest girl I have ever seen
Surrendered herself to another guy
It doesn't matter anymore.

It's just me,
I'm free!
I loved her for 3 years, but couldn't say a word to her without being shy
She's to beautiful to me
I love her
Still, i want to break that curse.

This actually happened :c

I clicked upon a forum what was the name?

No existing popularity or noticeable fame.

I make a thread and what do you know!

These forumers put on quite a show!

So petty the arguments wherever we meet,

It's louder than a million stomping feet.

When suddenly it stops and as he will,

I, the troll steps up and says.

"I've had my fill"

The keyboards fly by and by

As they try to flame this pitiful guy.

Then all at once, one man steps out

and bans everyone all about.
