I happen to think Blockland runs very well in Wine, or at least in comparison to other applications.

Someone should create an addon that runs webcom_postserver() every 5 minutes or so. I doubt that that would work for everybody running Blockland in Wine, but it would be great if it worked for a good chunk of people.

If I was Badspot (which is hard to imagine), I would not be interested in porting Blockland to Linux. Not only is the market share tiny, but two OS's are hard enough to keep up with. Three would be even more difficult.

Do users of free software like GNU/Linux pay for games? Of course! We have extra money sitting around!

use a different OS.
I would rather consume a dog turd with a straw.

You should rather use auth_Init_Server(); than webCom_postServer(); - Because the previous command also solves authentication-related issues, AND posts to master-server.

Then you're really stupid.

There is no magic function to solve all authentication issues. That function just creates the TCP Object and it's called when you begin the game anyway.

I don't think the solution is as simple as doing webcom_postserver(); over and over again.

Like I said - I think there are more underlying issues such as random net object related crashes that would have to be dealt with.

Dedicated.bat does not start a copy of Blockland on your computer.

If it really matters enough and is that much of a problem, use a different OS.
you know the amazing thing about free OSes is that theyre free and nobody wants to spend a few hundred dollars to be able to host a blockland server

Free OSes are... free?

This command appears to be helping.

I ran it while in the console window and it's up now, and I think it's staying up for a bit. Ping used to be displayed on the server list as "---" or "???" but it's appearing as 0 now, which means it's connected, I suppose.

The command only allows me to enter it once, and then it locks upon "Sending init request..."

No that's ignorance.
This guy is being stupid.
I like Linux more than Windows. Why does that make me stupid?

Telling someone to install windows while they're having a Linux problem is not helpful.

That's not why.
It's because you said you'd rather eat dog stuff than switch to a different OS.

OR he would rather not let one problem with one program make him ditch his entire operating system. Just because you prefer Windows doesn't mean everyone else has to.

I would. You're right, it is a bit extreme, but I'm fairly happy with my setup right now and installing Windows would lead to high blood pressure.

You don't listen very well, do you?

Windows wont cause you to get sick and possibly die.
