No, it's not the same problem.

OP here needs his dad's password in order to log into his YouTube account, because his YT account and his dad's Gmail account are linked, and now YouTube only uses the linked Gmail accounts password to log in.

OP in the other topic is having trouble with YouTube accepting the age he says he is.
