I went on Youtube today and was asked about linking to a Google account. Same deal as usual, just clicked the "skip this for n--

There was no "skip this for now" option.
I click the Youtube logo in the corner.
Same page.

So, I try to link it to my e-mail address. I don't want to make a new e-mail because everything's tied in with this one and I always use Youtube's notification e-mails.

I couldn't do this, however, as I had already linked it to something else, a channel I thought about using a long time ago. It had another stuffty outdated name, so I do not want to use it. So, I go to that channel, and go to change the associated e-

Your Google Account's primary email address is a Gmail address, and thus can't currently be changed.

loving delightful.

My options:
Use current badly-named channel with a dummy e-mail
Use current e-mail with vacant and badly-named channel
Forget all, make a new channel and a new e-mail, both with better names.

Most likely I will be going with option 3.

Youtube doesn't want dumbasses to lose control of their channels, so they lock you out of them.

Some day you will need a Google account to boot up your computer.
I like Google, but what the forget.

Google, you dun forgeted up.

So then update your account.

I honestly think google shouldn't have bought youtube.
They don't manage it well enough.

Google loving controls everything. Eventually theres going to be a google computer, where, as you said before, will have to be linked to your gmail account to boot up.

I read all of it. The time you spent complaining could have been invested into upgrading your account so you wouldn't have to complain.

And Google isn't "controlling" everything. The internet isn't everything.

What other mail website? Google will take over MSN, Yahoo, everything, there won't be anything but Gmail.

Eksi, cant you just keep the account and change/make or whatever a new email, your channel now can't leave :c

I read all of it. The time you spent complaining could have been invested into upgrading your stupid account so you wouldn't have to complain.
Maybe a bit of reading and comprehension as to what I'm actually complaining about (which for your information is not because I have to but because I cannot without a major change) would keep you from looking like a smug bastard that's trying to look like he knows what he's talking about.

Not that I ever said they were, or that the Internet is, but it's a goddamn lot of what I do, isn't it?
