I liked it better in the olden days.
There's no such thing. Visions of the "olden days" are corrupted by romanticism. They don't exist the way you imagine them, the same as the concept of love is corrupted by movies like Titanic.

That's not very nice. :c
Actually, it's entirely fine. Life is fundamentally selfish. No one lives your life except you, no one can tear you down for existing for yourself as long as you don't encroach on the happiness of others. Even selflessness is selfish. Self-gratification gained from helping others. The meaning of life is to find happiness and live it, unless it negatively impacts the happiness of other people.

Do you see how absurdly ironic this is? You're no better than religious zealots defending their sacred texts. "OH, that's the OLD testament, I only believe in *some* of it"

I'm sure you might be referring to Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy when you mention "arbitrary" stuff from our religious texts.

But not to turn this into a religious war, this is just a "intellectual" attempt at anarchy overall.

It's mostly minor disagreements and some of the evidence they provide is sketchy. And I DON'T defend the entire movement, I'd just appreciate it if people understood the movement before trying to debate it with me.

But we can participate in this thread without watching the videos. Remember that.
And yet what do you have to contribute to discussion of a topic if you have no information on it? Your opinion?
Oh wait, your opinion would be formed without a base in the information, so you shouldn't be putting it out there either.

The real issue that I see with Zeitgeist from what I know about it - which is mostly hearsay listening to Wizzeh and Amade talking about it on Steam combined with odd tidbits I've heard about it in other places - is that it simply won't work as long as we're arguing about it. It's that simple.

The very fact that we can argue about it is why it won't work. If not everyone believes in it, it'll fall apart, like any other communal system.

Or Genesis. Mainly Leviticus, Leviticus is pretty goddamn ridiculous.

I understand the movement fine, but you're not really going anywhere. You're not saying which parts of it you agree with or why, you're not providing opinions or debate material, or even loving conversing. The OP was just some copypasta garbage, and all of your posts have been emotionless and stuck-up retorts.

By yuki or OP? and I think yuki was just using it as an example of only partially agreeing.

That's not very nice. :c
im just talking about being more independent as people
instead of depending on other people to pay for you or something of the sorts
i never said you couldn't donate lol

The US doesn't have a "corporate system". A corporation does.So it's anarchy.

Nothing you're saying is supporting your argument, and why are you even trying to get people to conform to your cause? You can't just reform countries at a whim. The way you idiots go on about this is virtually the same as a religion. Broken in similar ways too.

Oh forget it. I'm not arguing this stuff again.Wow. You agree with *some* of it, but defend the entire movement?

God damn you're stupid. I'm done.
Ad hominem is a logical fallacy, and this post is nearly exclusively personal attacks on Wizzeh and the movement in general, with the rest of the post consisting of you jumping to a number of conclusions and comparing the Zeitgeist movement to a religious order.

Don't go on everything Wizzeh says as if he can accurately summarize the entirety of the system Zeitgeist proposes in a line or two. This goes for everyone, just for Yuki in particular..

So the solution is basically people giving up what they have to the government/religion in order to mae everything better? Sounds like communism to me.
That would be totalitarianism, not communism, neither of which Zeitgeist is proposing.

Just because he didn't watch the video's doesn't mean he doesn't know anything about it.

From what I can gather from Yuki's posts I'm certain Yuki knows very near nothing about it.

I was talking about Oasis

I'm quite aware that Ad Hominem is a logical fallacy, but it's not the center of my argument and therefore irrelevant, but go ahead and be a pretentious rooster. Thanks for telling me what my post is about, I forgot.

Timeghost Movement?
I never really understood the name either.

While the OP is interesting, I need a statement to say whether I agree to or not.

I liked it better in the olden days. When people were connected in small communities, while still taking care of their own land; Living off its great bounty. When the air was fresh and the quilts made at home - when the cabins were log and the culture was simple. A "system" ran as a family, a household, in small bundles and in cooperation with each other. No worry given to monetary gain, but rather to simple sentiment and joy. Love. When people grew as one and blossomed as individuals....
And then the Vikings showed up, beheaded you, killed your son, and raped your wife and took her away while burning your log cabin to the ground behind them.
