Author Topic: Good video editor...  (Read 894 times)

I've been in lack of a good video editor ever since my trial with Vegas Movie Studio 10 ended...

Done so far:
-StudioPro or some stuff like that - Sucks balls
-Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.0 and 8 - Trials are done and can't afford

I need a permanent free video editor, or at least a trial...

anyone got any good ideas?

PiTiVi and OpenShot are both decent and open source, but they're Linux only, which is basically the norm for free video editors. :(

While it's not free, Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 is only $94.95. I don't know if you were using Vegas Pro 10 before or Vegas MSHDP10, but if you were using Vegas Pro 10, then go with MSHDP10, it's a lot less expensive and really good.

Like I said, I wasn't aware of whether you used Vegas Pro 10 or MSHDP10, because one is $600 and the other is $95.

As far as other options go, it's like UncleNinja said, most free video editors are made for Linux only.

Well then, laptop with Linux, here I come.

Sadly, if you have a PC, dreaded WMM is the only option.

If you have a mac, try Imovie.

I've got a Windows 7 PC.

But anyways, with Rae, if I can save up enough cash, I may be able to buy VMSHDP10 or 8.

What.

Adobe Premier Pro has 30 day trail, so does After Effects.

All that adobe software on my PC has gone past the trial...

Sounds good, I might as well try it out now. Thanks.
