Most important element? Immersiveness. You know a game is good when you're absolutely immersed in it.

seems like it'd be gameplay/story

the thing that makes a game, is gameplay.
a generic storyline and controls that make the game especially dodgy are OK as long as its fun to play

Lol, Wii haters
Every console is good in a way.

Whoever said Graphics is a cigarette.

Obvious answer is Gameplay because the Gameplay is pretty much the game itself.

Multiplayer.
But depends of game.
There are games that were born for singleplayer.

"overall quality"
all parts matter.

Gameplay is always an important part, and story is as well. Games with a good story can be interesting, intriguing, and such. Graphics are mainly for immersing the player in the game, so they can create different moods: cheery, frightening, and such. You wouldn't want difficult-to-learn and hard to remember controls, so that along with graphics aren't incredibly important. Heck, just as long as I know what it's trying to get across, I could care less about the graphics in a game.

I say gameplay/story are most important.

BioWare is the most important Game Element.

I think "Gameplay" is an overly broad and therefore stupid term. What defines good gameplay? Everyone says "i'm a real gamer, gameplay is all that matters." Well what are you calling gameplay?
