As much as I don't want to go "NO MAN I AIN'T MAD" I have to admit I am legitimately pissed.
Not because of
you, but because of how you represent a large fraction (if not the vast majority) of people on Earth.
You think Science is there to tempt you from some loving God that shows himself through unpredictable coincidences. If your house burns down, it's your fault. If you get a good deal on a house, God helped you. If you got a bad deal on your car, it's the salesman's fault for swindling you. God never plays a role in anything negative and God always plays a role in everything positive.
Science cant even speak about God. Saying otherwise is a load of stuff. God is an untestable hypothesis, it cannot be spoken about by science because there is no test one can conduct to figure out of there is some sort of magic creator and controller of everything.
What pisses me off is that you think of science and the scientific community as some sort of evil-eyed nemesis of religion and is constantly out to get you. This is how Christians portray Satan, as the tempter of man. An entity with no real, direct influence but one of tremendous "darkness" that can lead people from the light!!! loving science pig disgusting making god look somewhat far-fetched because of its
facts and
theories.
The only reason you think this is because religion dishes out so much stuff, then Science comes along and systematically proves them wrong time after time, year after year, decade after decade and has been for the last ten thousand years. Religions feel threatened by science and the scientific community because their rationale for hating gay people and thinking abortions are somehow immoral is being eaten alive by new discoveries. There is evidence for a gay gene and advanced scanning is pretty much proving that the fetus, in the legal abortion age range, is incapable of thought.
But this doesn't stop people from believing their stuff, no-sir-y. They're like Smash Fan. They think that Science is out to get them and they aren't going to let go of their safety blanket. They'd rather stymie human achievement their entire loving life than pull their head out of the sand for a minute.
