Author Topic: Buddy System  (Read 2670 times)

Since every user in Blockland has an ID, I think an Buddy System would be nice.

"Mr. X has come online"
"Mr. X joined the Server: "

and for example add a follow function
and a IM function.
Invite would be nice to I think.... and very important, a ignore feature!^^

btw. IRC could be used for something like this, and it has to work together with the blockland server where the bl_id's are saved, so it can't be faked.

* Packer Starts Firing rounds into Windlotus2, DIE!!!!!

yeah. that way people can be friends on the game the easy way. people can ask to be people's friends.

Very handy

Asking people to join a sever....

Also "Ignore all invites from this server"

Yeah it is useful but he bumped an old topic, at least it was a good topic.

If this is possible, this would be the best thing put into 1.03(or w/e) But dont have it like a whole nother gui, where you cant play blockland and see whats going on in youre server, have it like the old f2, or like off to the side, but not like irc that fills the whole screen.

Something like Steam Friends in short.

A constantly monitoring system, kinda insecure...if made, the code would have to be exploit-proof (not intentional exploits, I'm talking about any small things that could allow people you use it as a Blockland spyware O_o)

it should and only be limited to names, no I.D.s, just the names.

That's a stupid idea. If ID's are viewable ingame, why not on a buddylist?
