Author Topic: Wisdom teeth removed (or will be)  (Read 1511 times)

So just recently (Monday of last week) I found out I have two of my four wisdom teeth in need of removal; from what it sounds like, I'll have them removed during spring break (what better way to spend spring break than inside and on meds). I'm not as much worried about the operation itself as the idea of the medication you take during it that makes you rather 'loopy', my biggest concern is saying something I shouldn't. So what I'm mainly wondering for those of you who have already had them removed, what was it like and did you say anything you shouldn't have?

I had a local anesthetic, so I was awake and aware during the surgery. I was normal, except the fact that I couldn't feel my mouth.

Also, while you're in there, see if you can have all 4 wisdom teeth removed.

I got shot up with lots of drugs. It was awesome. Great experience, but be sure to bring a camera if you get shot up. I have some priceless video.

I'm afraid of getting my wisdom teeth removed. I hate anything that involves metal being put in my mouth.
Except vaginal piercings.

I never knew they came in that early....

Mine are coming now, and i'm 4.

aaaaaaa im 13

My dentist said my mouth is probably big enough to hold my wisdom teeth when I'm older.

ujelly?

The anesthesia has a chance of killing you.

Sleep on it.

My parents were surprised about that too, the ortho department where I go was saying I would only need two removed but I'll be going in for an evaluation by a separate group because the dentist I go to doesn't remove wisdom teeth. Besides being afraid of them giving me too much medication I'm worried they won't give me enough; once I had a tooth removed and they didn't give me enough of the pain killer and I could really feel it.

some guy my dad knows went in to have surgery on his wrist. He at first was awake,  then the doctor said "hand my the scaple". He replyed "Should I be hearing you say that?" So they sedated him more. Once whie getting my teeth pulled, I was so drugged up I asked them if they pulled them out and they showed me them. I didn't feel a thing.

One thing I have to say about this...

Vicodin <3

One of my friends had his removed and said that that was the upside of it, although he was still hurting like hell and stuck on the couch.

I got X-rays on my teeth earlier.

Born without wisdom teeth.

Yea pretty much, well not only do I have them but right now they havent even popped out by the gum line yet and they're already pushing my front teeth on the bottom row against eachother so there's really no room for them.
