Meh, that's not a real earthquake, that's a small piece of stuff, only reason there's so much destruction is because you can see how poorly and cheaply built all of those builds that fell apart are.

We were studying the photographs taken from the disaster in photography in school today. Wow, that actually looks horrible.

EDIT: Also did you know that the only person to ever die from an earthquake in the UK was a man who got a hit on the head by a roof slate after a very light earth tremor? Yep England never gets quakes.

NZ is on a fault like much like LA in the USA. This isn't the first occurrence of disasters in NZ its only been big enough for the rest of the world to give a stuff. Not 2 months ago there was a lot of miners killed in an earthquake which cause the mine to collapses I do believe. They are honestly having a stuff time at the moment.
