I kind of had the same problem. I forgot which email I had the key sent to. But after a nice e-mail to support, I figured it out. However, I think the email might be deactivated.

I have the same problem as well. My email account switched a while back and I'm not sure if it was deleted, but essentially I can't get my key.

The only way he could use the key.dat is if he happened to have the same computer name as the previous user.

key.dat is a compiled version of the key and computer name.

you dont recall all the spam PMs people have gotten from unknown users for years asking them to send them their blockland folder?

Yeah but they would still need to know the computer name, and change their own before running the game.

And I doubt they would know to do that.

Let's trade key.dats and see what happens. (We'll both go to demo mode unless we somehow managed to get the same computer name)

I did try mine, that key.dat match it. put your id and it will tell you, but not fully code... only first part code.... I am sure he know how crack it or NOT.

Lol Furling... the first thing I did when I got Blockland, like the VERY first thing, was right down my key and stuff it in the desk drawer. Of course, I lost the little piece of paper for 6 months and had to PM Badspot to get my key back, but then I found the paper again ;)

I think it's good that you now have to link your forum account with your key, this will eliminate a lot of idiot spammers and alts. It's also nice because he knows that you are the genuine owner of the Blockland key and such.
