Author Topic: Heaven and Hell - How do they work?  (Read 3889 times)

I heard that you go to hell by default for some reason.
This makes me think, what did Jesus do? Oh, right, he died for our sins.
You might want to think that he could have, like, died for our default endless suffering and punishment in hell so that we could just go to heaven without having to happen to meet someone who can tell us that God exists. But, wait, why does someone have to tell us that? Oh because he doesn't prove himself to exist at all in any way whatsoever. Nice one.

Let's just say that these places, that you don't know of until another human just like you lets you know that so is the case, does exist. Okay, so Heaven sounds pretty cool, right? Eternal awesomeness feels good man etc.

But Hell, on the other hand, sounds pretty pointless to me.
Just pain and suffering for people who have committed crimes - and people who don't know wtf is going on or who the heck God is. Cool beans.

It doesn't really make sense that God sent down this one guy to help us, and then sends everyone to Hell who aren't aware of this guy and, what, the 20 other guys he touched with his shiny spoon.
Oh yeah maybe stuffloads of people instantly were like "oh wow all this stuff exists", but some people never heard of this and - according to a lot of people - were sent straight to Hell along with murderers, thieves, rapists etc. etc. Well deserved! I hope you burn in hell, silly Indians and others who lived at the wrong places!

Take it this way.
If you were to create a new planet with life and people, how would you feel if they stopped respecting you?

This thread is now a religion war. Good job.

I know right? He dies for our sins and then we go to Hell cause his dad doesn't show up.

Go away.

Interesting. Maybe it's my point of view but I think that someone knowing what you will choose doesn't affect your freewill. How does God know what you will choose? Does he already make the decision? Or does he just know what you are planning on choosing? If he already made the decision for you then that would mean he is unfair. If he knows what you are planning on choosing, you still retain freewill and it's entirely your choice.
