Yes, you can.
They have their own gravity too, you can walk on the roofs as well.

This game has a ton of potential, for a game of its size it runs pretty well. They still need to improve the graphics and add more collision though, and tons of optimizing.

Starting out was ok, but now that I finally made a flag and town it starts to crash whenever I try to do basic town options: Plant roads, construct buildings, mine.
