Author Topic: Dragon Age II  (Read 3060 times)

So, it's ten days til it comes out. Who's excited for the next chapter?

I recently played the demo on my laptop and was impressed with the improved mechanics and different changes to the leveling and conversation options. I just hope that the whole pause for cinematic storytelling won't occupy the majority of the game.

Opinions?

Next thing you know, they started on Dragon Age III with 3D goggles pack and hand to hand real life simulation combat

Sarcasm aside, that'd be a hell of a trip. lol

anything with 3d goggles and real to life motion controls would be good

The demo was unsatisfying.
And the controls are still stuff. I think it's even worse now.

Why do you say that? I thought it was about the same, but then again, I played the first on console and the demo on a laptop.

lemme get this straight, is this like an open world rpg where you can change armor and weapons and stuff?

It's not a sandbox type game, no. But it does allow you to change out armor and weapons to increase stats.

is it linear? or can you take side quests?

Yeah there are side quests you can partake of and you don't have to do the primary missions in a set order either.

I preordered this back when it was a free limited edition upgrade or whatever, I'm excited to go and pick this up.

I wish I had the finances for it. I had arranged to get it as a Christmas present, however, I needed the money to pay off a fine and reinstate my license. Being a grown up sucks.

On the other note, has anyone tried the Facebook app at all? Wouldn't mind teaming up with people as no one on my friend's list replied to my requests and I usually don't bother to bug people with that kind of thing.

Playing in the demo, the combat seems much more slick and... clean?

played the demo. considering buying this.

I played a rogue for my main character, but I made the mage in my party give everyone buffs .. so my mage ended up being shielded, giving bonus attack to the party, and giving bonus elemental stats to my party's weapons.

(aka I'm going to play a mage in the full version lol)
