Author Topic: Internet problems. How to fix? :(  (Read 871 times)

Ever since the day before yesterday, I've been having problems with the internet. Pretty much every site I go to takes way longer than usual to load, with the exception of GameFAQs and the Blockland forums. I've also had problems with the Firefox interface freezing, but me still being able to browse a website.

Anyone know if this is a problem on my end, and if I can fix it?

Delete all your browsing data.
It sounds like that's it. Not sure how I can help with the little information you've provided, though. :o

Delete all your browsing data.
like the cache and everything or something else

Also, what more information would you like?

Yes, clear all of your browsing data, because if Firefox is freezing, then that could be a possible sign.
Also, try running Malwarebytes. It could be a virus. :o

I clear my cache and everything whenever I'm done using firefox (probably about 10-15 times a day.)

Also, try running Malwarebytes. It could be a virus. :o
I ran SpySweeper last night and it didn't find anything, right now I'm running McAfee. If there's anything on there, McAfee would find it.

Try restarting your router.

And check if anything/anyone has been downloading stuff, I've been having majorly slow internet for awhile and I just found out it's because of my siblings watching instant streaming Netflix videos all day.

Not a router problem, it's only on Firefox on that one computer. If I use Chrome it works just fine.

Also, Netflix could cause this? My parents have been watching Netflix all day, but on the Wii :o

Uninstall reinstall is about all I can suggest.

Check if there's any updates for firefox.

If that doesn't fix it uninstall and reinstall.

Or just use chrome.

Better yet; Chromium.

get chrome
I would if it's interface sucks.

Actually, forget you. I didn't ask for a new web browser.

Netflix Instant Streaming uses up large amounts of bandwidth, which will probably explain the slow loading.

This, if doesn't make a difference if is Wii or not.

Ah.

Well, Firefox is doing fine now. I guess I just needed to restart the computer a few times.

Better yet; Chromium.

This.
I dislike Chrome, but I like Chromium, even though my primary browser is Firefox.
