Author Topic: Reds at the border - ANOTHER text roleplay by Jorici  (Read 23921 times)

The year is 2144. Back in 1972, Ronald Reagan was assassinated before he entered office as president, because he got involved in a hostage situation at a bank in Washington D.C. You could say he was in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Anyways, the cold war never ended. As tensions tightened between the Allies and the Soviets, some crazy nutjob fired a shot. This was about, oh, 15 years ago? No one knows which side fired first. The Soviets blamed the allies, the allies blamed the soviets, and then tensions grew so tight, that the wire snapped. First there was an exchange of rounds in Berlin. People screamed in the streets, and ducked behind counters and cars as hails of bullets ripped through the air. After 24 hours of battle, it was still a stalemate. The reinforcements from either side flooded the smoldering city, as rockets, lasers, machine guns all went off. Eventually, the Soviets turned the tide by sending in the T-982 Walking Tanks, who quickly overwhelmed the allies. They fell back to Belgium, where a second major battle took place, laying the country to waste. By then it was certain, this was no longer a cold war. The Soviets marched on through Europe, and after a year, they began the United States campaign. They flew in by the thousands, but the Americans fought bravely, and valiantly. Soon, the Western U.S. fell to the Soviets. It seems like nothing could stop the Soviet War Machine.

The Italian bakery smelled nice. It smelled of rubble and ash. Just like the rest of Italy. I sat down, and started cleaning my gun with the plunger. 5,000 dead in the battle of... what is this city's name again? Bleh, I can't remember. I turn around and see Italian bodies getting stacked on top of one another, then doused in alcohol. I watched as they burned, slowly, into black ash.

The lab has made a breakthrough! We have been able to reduce our nuclear batteries from their original size of 30cm (diameter) to 13cm! I managed to re-fit an old laser pistol with a new battery chamber (a rather large one) and a thicker lead barrel. We are wondering if we can entirely change the course of the war with this new nuclear powered pistol.

They call me a spy, a commie. Only because I have the slightest hint of Russian blood. Only had I been raised in the mother land until two months of age before my family brought us to Europe. Although I am from the enemy that does not make me their friend. Why can't people come to understand this.

The bombs grow immensely loud again as the fog thickens with heat. Patients flood the waiting room, missing limbs, lacerations, etc. There's not much I can do for these people with this traffic but I will try. That is if nobody tries to kill me first.

-Update from the Italian Front, June 2nd, 2145-

The Soviets appeared in Italy, they came fast, and attacked strong, leaving North Eastern Italy shattered. The Allies struck a large blow to the Russians, but the Russians quickly swatted them away in the midst of the battle.

WILL ITALY BE LOST? OR CAN YOU SUCCESFULLY DEFEND IT?

Oh, and The Khoz, you know Germany is technically Soviet, correct? Unless you are working behind their backs, or something.

I'm an Engineer. and that means I solve problems.
Not problems, like, What is beauty? Because that would fall under the conundrums of personal philosophy.

...I solve practical problems.

Oh, and The Khoz, you know Germany is technically Soviet, correct? Unless you are working behind their backs, or something.
My parents disagreed with the fact that Germany was taken into Soviet hands, so they moved to Sweden under a Soviet visa. Then, they 'died' but we actually fell off the map into a Swedish neutral area. There, unwanting to repeat the horrors of the 2 hundred, we worked for the Allies, in an attempt to return Germany to it's own Government.

Kudos to anyone who knows what the horrors of the Two-Hundred are.

Edit: Don't forget to color Germany (and Holland?) red.

And in case you're wondering, a T50 is a walking tank, but smaller and has machine guns.

I was prancing onto the battlefield. My T50 sent the Soviets running. I fired my guns in every direction. The sound of blood splattering all over the ground makes my day. The Soviets tried to blast down my T50, but I shot them before they had a chance. "Good job Snake Eyes!" I heard over my radio. I was called snake eyes since whenever we had some time to sit back and relax, every time I rolled a pair of dice, I would almost always get snake eyes. I kept blasting down a couple more Soviets when eventually it seemed like they were just handing me Italy on a platter! We just had to clear out the North East and then we pretty much had this in the bag. I stomped on a few radios and tables, and knew that when we reached the North East, the Soviets were gonna find Hell waiting at their doorstep...
