Author Topic: Kill and death game-mode request (Read 1013 times)

I have looked for this kind of mini-game for a long time, like 5 minutes, but haven't been able to find it. But if this does exist, could someone direct me to the download page.

This game-mode is-
a TDM or DM
if a TDM, for example, there are spawns for each team, red and blue. There is also a place for spectators in the build. Now say red team player Albert is killed 5 times, he then is respawned at a different spawn point-the spectator spawn point, they can no longer participate in the game-mode until the game is won. There is, however, a game-mode that when one is killed, they stay killed and view the other players until the mini-game is finished-this is not what I want-I want it so that you become a spectator from a certain point like in the stands, watching the battle from there.

You'll have to script one if you want that. I don't see how spectating from the stands is much different from Spaceguy's TDM game-mode, just watching the players.

Don't be so picky... in Blockland you have to live with what you've got, and find creative ways to accomplish your goals.

This mod would be pointless.

If you really want it, then you will indeed have to script it yourself.

Also, 5 minutes is not a long time, IMO.

If I recall correctly, there is a set team event. If so, then you should be able to do this with events.

Well it's not pointless, infact I'd prefer it to the other guy's TDM game mode, mainly because in my game mode, once I no longer am battling, I can still walk around-as opposed to the other where you can't walk around.

Oh sorry... it was 12:05 and I wasn't in a right state of mind... forgot what all the post said.

Anyways... you can probably do this with VCE or something... if not then live with Spaceguy's. Watching the players and being able to click to change from player to player is a better way of spectating - to me anyways. That's how it is in real video games.

Do this. If you want, you can make a script that kicks them out of the minigame when they die and puts them back in when it resets.

He wants to make it so that when you die 5 times, you spawn on another "team" of sorts, and build.
Can be done with VCE, I think.

Tracking KDR via VCE takes brains.

Tracking just kills uses the same concept. Just one less variable.

Just because you said that I don't want to try. I guess that just shows what kind of a person I am...

Oh, have any other suggestions for a good way to learn TS other than staring at scripts for a few years? I am planning on possibly making around twenty small scripts and one massive script - sometime in the near future.
