Author Topic: Roblox is coming to the iPad.  (Read 6136 times)

At GDC the most important thing (for me at least, seeing as I am about to graduate school) is the Job fair.
The job fair serves two purposes, the first more obvious one is to look for prospective employers. The other is to be able to infer on future projects. For example if a company looking to hire people with MMO and network experience, it can be pretty obvious that they are planning on developing an online game.

I stopped by the Roblox booth while I was there and talked with the people there and we joked about how annoying our trolls are. I ended up getting an application slip (though I don't plan on applying). One of the types of people they are looking for are iPad developers.

Just thought this was interesting and some people might want to know this.

forget roblox, they should meet us blocklanders

i thought they said it wasnt compadiable.

But there was a topic in the Mac forum that specifically stated that ROBLOX wasn't going to anything running iOS.

Go away, Roblox is cool. Roblox is a kids game, so don't go saying how it sucks just because it doesn't satisfy your wants in a video game. Imagine you are an 8 year old kid, and you get to fly a helicopter into spongebobs ass, having the time of your life, but then a guy comes in and says "This game sucks, go play Blockland." Blockland just isn't the game for little kids, and Roblox isn't a game for mature kids.

Or they're working on a different project that's not Roblox for the iPad.

That's what I was gonna say

Newfound respect for the devs in ROBLOX.

Huh, thats pretty cool.

It doesn't suck for that reason, it sucks because it's poorly developed, unstable, is visually horrifying, and is just generally of low quality. It's a stuff game no matter what way you look at it. There's no reason why Blockland isn't more suited to being a kids game, it's a lot more simplistic in operation, cheaper, and doesn't look like a 4-year-old got a hold of MS3D.
