Author Topic: Your school's computers  (Read 2023 times)

We have some Intel Dual Core machines or something, however, I'm currently using a Dell Studio as a work laptop for my schools Applied Research.

a mix of Dells. some on windows 7, some on xp.

my school is seriously, an Apple school. Hardly any PCs in there at all. Its all the new high-techy iMacs n stuff. pretty awesome. and my digital arts class has all the Adobe software and its...its just awesome.

Because they spend money on buying cafeteria food nobody eats.

 :cookieMonster:

My school has Macs but they're actually not complete stuff.

All of the computers have dual cores and most of them have 3 gigs of ram. (Some only have 1. :C)

The computers run surprisingly really fast, the OS isn't as bad as everyone says it is, and we get lots of expensive software like Final Cut Pro, Maya, Adobe Programs, etc.

I'm homeschooled, so my school computer is a lovely Windows 7 gaming computer. My sister runs XP, though. I kinda miss it ;_;

Like a lot of people here in this thread, I'm homeschooled. My computer is an upgraded Compaq Presario SR5310F I unexpectedly acquired last summer. The specs are as follows (old part > current part):

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2140 1.6 GHz > Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 2.0 GHz
Unidentifiable Intel chip > PNY GeForce FX 5200 > Sparkle GeForce GT 430
1GiB DDR2 667 > 2GiB DDR2 800 RAM
Samsung HD250J 250GB HDD
Windows Vista Home Premium > Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS > Windows XP Home Edition SP3

Like a lot of people here in this thread, I'm homeschooled.

Theres only 1 other person that said they were homeschooled. So, uh, whatever...

18 eMacs, four 2009 24" iMacs, two iMac G4s, three MacBooks, two iBooks, a couple old graphite PowerMacs, an old Dell OptiPlex that doesn't work, and an even older OptiPlex that has Ubuntu. Very mac-oriented.

For school I have a 2007 MacBook Pro and an Alienware M11x R1 (which is being repaired again, this time the lighting system got messed up and the bezel is misaligned). That's pretty much it. Most of the students use their own computers except the younger kids. I think I'm one of the only people in the school with Snow Leopard. Or an Alienware.

Muh computer, I am home schooled

You've got Macs?! :O!?

This is what our school is packed with. :c

My school has the latest iMacs and a few old eMacs kicking about, along with the latest MacBooks and the odd iBook.

Why are American schools so cheap with computers :U
