I play lots of VALVe games, and my mom never checked what they were. I just said "can i borrow your credit card for $100 for a game kthx"
Sometimes I play blockland/tf2 and one of my parents walks in and sees a gun then they get angry, but I typically don't get punished or anything.

They just possibly feel uncomfortable letting their kid play an extremely violent game. I mean, come on he's eleven. I didn't start playing violent games until I turned thirteen, and that was MY choice.

ESRB overrates games. GTA IV is an M rated game, because of researchographic reasons.
Reasonable.

Black Ops Wii is M because guns and blood splats after a headshot, which barely happens.
Should be rated T.
