Author Topic: Talent  (Read 1218 times)

You know what sucks? talent, everything about it, it just sucks.
Well, that is if you don't have a talent.

See, it really sucks, I can't play a musical instrument, I can't draw, and can't make maps for source (Well, I can, I just suck at it.), but you see, this isn't the worst part about it,

I have to painfully remind myself every few days I can't do any of these things, and I suck at them. (I try to do these things and and up never finishing them because they suck so much)

See, I feel like I am a creative person but I just can't get anything out of my head and into life.

Alright I really am going to go to bed now, I will look at the reply's tomorrow.

The things you mentioned are the only talents in the world. There are so many skills out there to be skilled at, you most likely haven't found the right thing. I suggest you take adantages of opportunities as they arise, and you'll definitely find something you're talented with someday.

Hopefully, whatever you're talented at is something you love to do ;) hope that helps, and keep that in mind next time you're feeling upset about not being able to play instruments or make source maps.

Everybody is good at something, and the only way you discover it is if you stop being upset about what you're not good at, and work on finding your hidden abilities :)

Looks like OP is too much of a pusillanimous individual to look past "well gee i have no experience in x, i suck" and actually do X to get experience with it.

magick mage in disguise?

magick mage in disguise?

Huh?

I'm nothing like Mage minus the fact that I'm generally nice ;o

Mage is all oldschool and stuff, while I'm a mainstreamed hipster.

I feel like I suck at everything, it's my OCD it drives me to become better.

I'm good at convincing others that I have talent. Is that one? :o

No.

Try to avoid getting mind blocks on stuff. It removes the possibilities. Also, try to watch others then go on your own flow.
