Author Topic: How To Lucid Dream  (Read 33623 times)

I had a dream about me about to have love, but then I woke up before I got to.

forget.

If you woke up naturally, it probably means that your mind doesn't know how to simulate love, and it would've been liking watching research of yourself loving a girl without your snake feeling anything.

Perhaps, however I have been in a similar situation (hurp). I believe that in this case, the excitement has woken him up.

I'm probably the only person in this world who could manage to get distracted while lucid dreaming.
Knowing that this possibility exists I can't be bothered to try lucid dreaming.

Besides, dreaming makes sleep last longer, when I go to sleep I like to wake up instantly (You know what I mean)

During a dream? Thats highly common for people to get distracted and lose lucidity.

When I say get distracted, I mean I'm probably capable from getting distracted from the original subject of my lucid dream and switching to a different subject without waking up or anything of the sort.

Also; I sleep so deeply that you couldn't wake me up if you dragged me down the stairs

It will all make sense.
I'll have to do it in the morning, I'm on a DSi at the moment. I also need to get some sleep, see if I can maybe pull off a lucid dream.

Toodles.

I've only had one Lucid Dream in my life, and it wasn't even a complete lucid dream, either.
I was dreaming, it was near the holidays, and it was about the Grinch. It was so fake and cheesy that I became aware of this, and was able to think and stuff while dreaming.
It was trippy. :o

Okay. IcyGamma, I have a thing. A serious thing.

I've been starting to recognise my dreams alot more often. I'm usually starting off in the same place: On my driveway or in the middle of my street, outside my house. It's sort of like a spawnpoint.

FOr the past 6 days I've been doing pretty well with lucidity - I've got the basics down pat. I can do DiLD no problem now and I'm starting into WiLD. Oh, word of suggestion? Never look in a mirror while in a dream.

Anyway, here's the thing. Last night it was different. When I became lucid through the usual DiLD I noticed I wasn't where I was supposed to be. I was in the middle of a street, it was foggy and I couldn't see for stuff. Suddenly two cars came towards me at either ends of the street and smashed into eachother, head on, while I was in between the two of them. They didn't collide with me. The timescale dropped, it was like slow motion.

Suddenly again, I wasn't at the street anymore. I was in the game Crysis 2 - For this part, I thought my mind had taken over again since I have been playing Crysis 2 alot recently, except again, I was a regular soldier with the shotgun and pistol and nanosuit and all, and strangely... one of my friends from networking class, Levi, was beside me, also in a nanosuit with a sniper rifle. He was acting pretty serious about everything.

The thing that cofused me the most was that I couldn't control anything, no matter how hard I tried. I couldn't construct or conjure at all. Levi seemed to know what he was doing, he was firing away with his weapon.

All of the sudden I was shot in the chest multiple times, and I awoke with a shock, panicing. I slowly woke and got out of my bed to look at the mirror, and guess what, I wasn't me. I was some distorted figure of nothing. I checked the clock - strange figures. I was still dreaming.

To test, I thought of IBM's Deep Blue computer sitting on top of the hallway table. Surely, I turned around, there it was. I had been in a two layer dream - except the 1st layer I could now work with.

Here's the freaky part. That whole thing about the car accident? Today, in second period, I was talking to Levi about the SHSM ceremony last week, and I asked him why his parents didn't come and it was only his grandparents. He explained that he didn't have parents... They died shortly after he was born in a terrible car accident.

Is it maybe possible that I was in Levi's dream? I know for a fact that Levi is an avid Crysis 2 player, he's addicted to it and plays 24/7.

My dreams are in 3rd person, and are not relative to anything.
My dreams make no sense, and the way I see it, everyone else's are realistic. :c

Mack, did you say anything to Levi during the crysis part of the dream, and did he respond?

Aside from stuff like "Down there. By the solar panels, see him?"

"I'm on it"

"Good shot"

"Thanks"

and the related. Why?

Erm, the whole point of lucidity is to change your dream in any way you want.

Ah ha ha ha. Didn't like what you saw eh? I've had a few sour experiences too, but now I just see myself thankfully.

Sounds awesome, I adore the beginning with the timelapse. Thats the kind of dreaming I like, the artistic flare of the cars tearing apart in slow motion with you in the middle is just awesome.

Now for the second part, your control was probably swayed off by two things. The first is that you sound as if the whole dream took you by surprise, such sudden changes in the dream sound very fast paced and overwhelming and it sounds to me like the chaos was a major distraction. Coupled with the fact you weren't expecting the initial scene to occur, it may also be you doubted your ability to control the dream due to how it was taking over so suddenly.

Brilliant, a false awakening! I tend to avoid refer to dreams as layers, I really don't approve of the Inception approach to dreaming since its all bogus.
False awakenings are really fun IMO, I've been in a similar situation where I thought I woke up, went for a pee, and turned around and saw my face all fat and old. Heh.

Unless your friend dreamed this its unlikely there was a connection. Definitely intriguing how you found out the relevance of the dream content after you dreamed it though.

wait

why not

Its common for your reflection in the dream to be distorted, sometimes in very scary ways. Not everyone sees a scary image though, if you believe you will you'll definitely experience a frightful reflection however.

I've done this once- Twice, First time I was nine and in my mom's room, she was playing video games and I was like "I'm going to fly" and I jumped off of her bed and flew into my jungle themed room, which was a jungle...

Second time I was twelve and was talking to my sister about research, All I remember is my house, sitting on the carpet, my sister, research and the main character in the television series "Leverage"
