Author Topic: How To Lucid Dream  (Read 33595 times)

Its common for your reflection in the dream to be distorted, sometimes in very scary ways. Not everyone sees a scary image though, if you believe you will you'll definitely experience a frightful reflection however.

...I suddenly really want to do this. I've always had an admiration for really scary stuff like that. If I were to look at myself in a mirror in a dream, however, my face would probably look something like this.

I've been in a similar situation where I thought I woke up, went for a pee, and turned around and saw my face all fat and old. Heh.

So you just saw yourself like normal?

I keeed i keeeeed. Ima try this tonight. 3 things I wanna try: spawning stuff, looking in a mirror, and having love.

I think, if I get a good lucid dream going, I'll wake up on a small beach that leads to a forest, where I start punching trees and building an empire out of 3x3. Owait :3

EDIT: I thought of a 3rd thing while i was typing, and forgot to review my post. Fix'd, thx.

Indeed a thing you definitely have to try.

O u

Heres something interesting. A lucid I had when I caused a tsunami in London, that ended up killing me too.

Quote
I am in London with my family. We are in a stuffty house. I walk outside. We are by a massive river. Around the river is London. You can see all of the landmarks. For some reason, there is also the Sydney Opera House. I get lucid around here. I have no idea why, or how. I look at the ocean and picture the waves becoming heavy. I make the water start to sway sharply. First, a small wave hits the road and sprays water all over the street, causing cars to get pushed around like toys. Then, in the far distance, a huge wave emerged. It splashed violently and massively against buildings. I tell you, the city scape and the water were very realistic. Literally lifelike. The wave then heads for us. I get into the house. My family (and some other strangers) and I run upstairs. The water hits the building. It rises past the windows. We make it to the 3rd floor and go to the exit door. The building is already submerged. I am holding my sister. I unlock the door. You can feel the pressure of the water push against it. I take a deep breath and open the door. Water pours in. I go through the door. It is so so cold. I lose some of my breath in shock. I scramble around looking for a way up, but I hit something. I can't move around, or see. I am stuck. I eventually drown.

I rememberer when you showed me dreamveiwes like a year and a half ago.
One problem i have with staying still to remember my dream is i have a loud alarm that wakes me up.....
If i don't dismiss it right away i will have un-happy parents xD

Now all we need is a way to record our dreams on video to watch later.

I have wished for this so many times :c

the DEILD method, i think i've done that before but it was weird.
I was dreaming and woke up, and remembered it well, so i just shut my eyes and went back to sleep and it continued. But its not what i think is a lucid dream, i didn't really remember it at all but i did but i didnt but uashdfuhasdfasdf

Indeed, thats the great thing about DEILD. Its easy and picks up your dream. Next time, to keep mentally aware by thinking "I'm lucid" or picturing a setting, and you should fall asleep and get lucid.

I was thinking about death in a lucid dream, like it is some natural thing, (it kind of is... :\) and thought do you feel any fear, or is it all some "natural" feeling... Can't really explain it that well.

The only thing that was close to death in a dream for me was me riding abnormally fast down a hill in my bicycle, not being able to control it, and then waking up right before I crashed. I had no good or bad feelings about it.

EDIT: I mean feel any fear while you are going through your deadly scenario, like Sheath's tsunami scene.

Good question.

I've been killed by my own actions, killed by "accident", murdered, and sometimes I've committed Self Delete in dreams like many have before me. Sometimes it feels like nothing-- just an escape from the dream. But occasionally, there is a feeling of doom and death that is eerie and disturbing. I don't mind once I'm awake usually, but I do get a little creeped out after initially waking up-- especially when I drown while holding my sister.

I did have a dream I died in a bush crash and went to a sort of abstract afterlife. There was a feeling of crippling sadness and shock that left me crying from the dream to reality. :c

Well, I slept after beating these RC's and stuff into my head all day. I slept, and woke up. Nothing, but.. I felt unusual after I woke up, like I had made some progress.

Would 1-day sleep deprivation / Thinking about a possible setting to appear in (in dream) in affect the lucids in any way? Because I did both. :s

It can take days, weeks, or even months to begin lucid dreaming. Keep it up!

fixed.
