Author Topic: How To Lucid Dream  (Read 33587 times)

Wow, this looks amazing! Descriptive and such. Thanks alot for it, I'll try it for sure tonight.. Though I hope I don't like, have a lucid nightmare.. That would suck. Alot.
Imagine youself a rocket shooting minigun strapped to your back and take it.
Miniguns can solve everything.

Ok, I get it now. I really need to try this out :o

I think that my problem would be keeping up the frequent RCs, and trying the DILD. I think that WILD would be much easier for me :p

From now on, I'm keeping a pen or Sharpie mark on my hands. Left hand. Gotta remember.

I dreamt last night, but the only RC was text changing on a chat client.
I wasn't in control enough to check my hands or anything.
Anyone?
It's like my dreams exist soley to show me.

I'm suddenly reminded of De Ja Vu. I love the feeling I get whenever something I see in a de ja vu dream happens.

I'm looking forward to bedtime tonight. Also, does music affect lucidity?

People seem to act like their dream is completely in their control, they walk around and control their body, but I only watch. I don't try to take control..

Help?

Believe you can control your dream, and you can. Don't doubt you dream power.

Maybe you could start off with "small" control actions and then work your way up to bigger ones?

Imagine you're in a room with a projector screen with no projector.
Imagine the projector is out if focus at the edges.
That's how I feel.
I think the thoughts
I feel the feelings
But I do not walk the walk. My body does.

Although thinking that I can control sounds like a good idea.
Positive thinking.

Hmm, perhaps you should buy a new projector then :D

On a serious note: It takes learning and practice. Keep at it, I'm sure you'll eventually get the hang of it.

This is going to sound really weird, but I just finished watching Fullmetal Alchemist, so:

Does it ever feel wrong, killing people in your dreams? Do you feel like somewhere, you are the 'God' of some world? Where you have total control? That is how I feel. I visit different times, things happen, and even, dreams can be intertwined with other people's. (Or so it seems to me) But still, anything I do in the dreams could lead to an end to all of my dreams. And that could be an apocalypse for the 'World' that you visit in your dream, that might be a real world.

Yes I often feel like some kind of external being that enters the dream world. But thats just for fun. Killing people... eh, lots of people I know do it in their lucids. Just don't enjoy it too much hah. ;)

I rememebered about this dream catcher in my room. gonna get rid of it.

another thing, while lucid, is it very vivid? Or a dream you will hardly remember?
I cant seem to control anything in my dreams.

Wiki'd lucid dreaming. A section on "Near Death Expierences"

In a study of fourteen lucid dreamers performed in 1991, people who perform wake-initiated lucid dreams operation (WILD) reported experiences consistent with aspects of out-of-body experiences such as floating above their beds and the feeling of leaving their bodies.[21][unreliable source?] Due to the overlap between lucid dreams, near-death experiences, and out-of-body experiences, researchers say they believe a protocol could be developed to induce a lucid dream similar to a near-death experience in the laboratory.[22]

DOES THIS MEAN WE CAN ALL DIE?

I've got one. I might move it to my door, though. I had gotten it from my dad's friend who lived in Texas and it has been hanging in my room since I was 7. It's really pretty, though: I might move it to my room's door rather than on the curtain rod above my bed. I doubt it'll actually affect my dreams, so until further notice I'm going to leave it.

I'll put it in my sisters room.
