holy stuff what

Do you have any sense of logic? Why would a .50 or even a .45 caliber bullet take away merely 30 percent of health?

Maybe if you get shot in the foot, but seriously? Everywhere?

Seeing as it's a game, fun should > realism.

I mean it should be hard as stuff to get that perfect headshot, but anywhere in the body should atleast to a proper 40 damage and slow said person down a bit. Remove the slow down part if the sniper is a SVD.

P.S. It sounds like you're just mad because you can't get any kills.
:/ I can't even think of a reply to this.  It's just that bad.  My rant means nothing? What am I supposed to say to that?  Cool?
A tomahawk instant kill to the foot is extremely handicapped.
I don't even get why he PMed me this.

Balance > Realism.

My blockland mod has had this kind of sniper for years now and I haven't found any issue with it. It's more enjoyable than other snipers; the lack of an instant kill means the sniper can actually be made viable instead of having hefty restrictions placed on it.

Generally, the idea is that, having an incredibly powerful weapon is not balanced by giving it incredible drawbacks.

The sniper has to be slotted into a support role from the offset and as such should not have sufficient firepower to make an assault alone. The 30% makes him viable against enemies that are distracted by teammates.

Gee, it's not like people who like sniping are humans right? What should they enjoy, lol?

Besides, 30 percent is absolutely pathetic. If you hit him in the head from a "support" role, especially when he's trying to avoid somebody on foot, you and your team deserve a kill.

How is a hard-to-master sniper that 1HKO's only on headshot not balanced?

It's a one shot headshot kill.

It's a one shot headshot kill.

If the one you are shooting is wearing a helmet, yes, you would have to headshot him again to kill him.

But if it's hard to master and even harder to shoot, you deserve that kill. You have a huge aiming skill and after all that's the point of a FPS, no?

So if you have skill, you should be a rape machine?  No.

So if you have skill, you should be a rape machine?  No.

Lower the bullet DMG on a M16A to 0.5 and give it a 90-bullet mag. No 1hko on headshot, everywhere 0.5 dmg on a bullet-hit. If you can headshot somebody, should you be a rape machine? nope, not at all.

What if every bullet would apply bleeding damage?

Let's say a sniper hits you in the head. Because you always play a class that uses close-combat weapons, you hate them and you always want to know when they have you in their sights/and or hit you. Let's say a headshot gives you 80 percent damage.

Being a headwound, it should bleed heavily, so let's say 10 HP every 2 seconds.

If you don't duck into cover, select your syringe and inject yourself, you're forgeted.

But it still gives you time to react.

I personally think snipers should be a 2 hit kill, regardless of were it hits.  It balances out and makes aimbots less useful.
Brink has 2 hit kill snipers, and using an assault rifle it is somewhere between halo and CoD in time to kill
