Socks and shoes - Do you wear either of them inside?

My dad and mom wear their socks around inside the house all the time, and my older brother wears his shoes through the house.

I go barefoot inside because I like the feel of the carpet on my feet.

I have tile floor on the first floor so I actually go around with flip-flops but on the second floor I switch between socks and barefoot.
