I put it on my desktop, tried extracting it THEN opening it, but it didn't work! Pease help!

map2dif has NO GUI
you have to run it from a command prompt. When you do, it will give you a bunch of options on how to use it.

but if your not making 'dif' files to be used on a map - its going to be pretty useless for you.

Last time I checked, there no commands for Map2Dif.

You drag and drop your .map file onto the program (not clicking and opening Map2Dif, otherwise it just closes), and it will export as a .dif file.

yep that will work.

But if there are any problems with your .map file -- you will never see the errors map2dif displays, it will just "not work" when you try to start your map.
running it from the command prompt lets you see if theres any problems.
