Because Mojang totally invented pickaxes, torches, and minecarts. Everything in the game has no purpose, it's like Minecraft classic except graphics are better.

These aren't "Good graphics". Good graphics are attractive and blend and make a distinct style and feel. This is basically a high-res Minecraft texture pack.

And even if it's not a total copy, and it's pretty darn close to one, it still sucks.

Minecraft doesn't have bad graphics, it's just the pixely art style.
These graphics are bad though, he can't stick to a style. Everything clashes. There's sparkly stuff everywhere. It just looks... bad.
Also, the maker claims that he didn't base this off minecraft which is total horse stuff because this is a blatant copy which anybody could see

High quality textures on cubes looks terrible, especially when you mix it with higher quality models and 'fancy' graphics, like water and weird random particles.
