Its not a bad weapon. Its seriously not.

Just think about it like this you could have tdm's Locust Vs Cog's

Run out of ammo
Hold Right mouse button to chainsaw

Good for melee and long rage combat

Not really long range, this weapon is better for mid range... But yeah, this could be scripted easily, just need to find someone willing to model the good ol' lancer.
