Author Topic: Wtf steam  (Read 1648 times)

I was downloading the demo of HL2, and at 98% it paused randomly.

I resumed the download, and it resumed for a millisecond and went back to paused. I have tried resuming it repeatedly and it's not working, what's wrong with iit?

I've tried restarting steam too, no luck.

lol demos

There must be something with your internet connection.

I have this problem with I think GMod or Counter Strike. Since I need to shut EVERYTHING else off to even attempt to play games on this computer, which usually fails, I never paid attention to the problem enough to find a solution.

Same for me. Whenever I start it up, I gets to the loading screen, but then goes unresponive.

Are you running a game while doing this?

No all I was running is IE (lololol ie sucks) and Steam.

Soon enough you're going to get a blob error.

I just fixed mine.

Open your steam folder and delete everything except steamapps and steam.exe

Then start up steam and it'll work, all your games will be there too.

FML. I had to do this stuff with CS:S. The dumb ass support guy was telling me stuff irrelevant to what I needed to fix.

Ya, forget steam support, I can fix like any steam error for you, ever. Anything that can forget up with steam, has for me.

Recently I downloaded L4D2 for my mac. However I didn;t meet all of the system requirements (Requires Snow Leopard, but I only have Leopard). So I tell them I want a refund and he sends me information on how to take a screen shot.

Why would they refund you for being a dumbass and not checking the specs? Lol.
