I believe I said this before, but I'm going to play on peaceful, at least until I get a hang of the game anyway. Also, is there a command to make it day? Is the /time day thing a mod? Sorry I've been watching MC vids.

Well, it's different.
You don't get free car updates.
Once you buy Minecraft, since it's just only one pay, you get updates for free.
You could get to the full version for free.
But, I'm not sure. Notch said he might make the game free sometime.

I know, it's hard to play in Survival, since those weird-looking monsters get behind you.
Well, I do both.
A world to relax, and one for survival. I stopped being a pusillanimous individual, going outside, putting torches around me, and waiting for monsters to spawn, and fight atleast one, or just stare at them enough so they don't scare you. Also, F5 is a good idea, since it's 3rd person view, and can see what's behind you.
