I drop out of the vent into the ship's galley. I stuff in the soup and lay some eggs in the synthetic meat chunk substitute before crawling through a hole in the wall to hide and wait for stage three.

Meanwhile the sporelets have almost completely devoured Charles' large intestine, which confuses the doctor who scanned him and found a sizeable piece of the digestive track missing.
