Yeah, thing is. I usually bounce off when I try to do the dive-then-rise technique.

I think my angle of dive is too steep or something.

The secret to landing is land at an insanely slow speed.  When you get sorta close, hold C and continue forward, then when you get closer, you alternate hitting forward and back.  Then you just kinda glide down.

It is an art.

That's what I always do on dogfights, but I have a parachute and like 4 grenades and a sniper, then I just keep chucking the grenades down and snipe them when they come out.  It works great :)
