Nordic- a text roleplay of the age of vikings

the year is 800 AD. the christan church has begun its rise to power in europe, and black plague stalks the land. in the midst of all this turmoil, Viking raiders have begun to raid the northern coast of europe. they come in dragon-headed warships, filled to the brim with viscous warriors, called besrkirs, and bringing with them a ferocity that Europe has not seen for many years. the costal peoples cower in fear of these mighty raiders, but many also stand up to fight against the pillagers who have invaded their homelands. this is the golden age of viking piracy.

the major factions at work here are: the christan church, vikings(of course), local militas, the french army, and the druids. standard charecter sheet.

Apperence: Olgerd is a large and imposing northern man, with a thick brown beard and eyes that could stare down a bear. he carries his warhammer two handed, with his round sheild on his back. at his side jingles a small purse of coins.

You have Dungeons and Dragons, some random archealogists fall into a pit, YEEGLE SHMEEGLE HERGLE vikings, and probably some more.

I dont see you amking good RPs. the only one youve made was about a video game that exists. if people want to do the stuff they can do in you rp, they can just buy dead space.

"This just in - Breaking News. The recently launched freighter to carry the first supply shipment and more than thirteen thousand more people to the newly-established research colony, Artox, has gone missing. Despite all attempts at communications and sending out search teams, nobody has been able to locate it. We're here live at the landing site on Artox, with one William Turkz. William, tell us what you're upset about." "M-my wife was on that ship, and my kids. They were coming after me - they wanted me to m-m-make sure that it was nice here. I found us a nice house and everything... e-even if they were... d-d-de-... I would still be h-happy knowing where they were.." "Thank you William... Back to you, Johnathan."

"What the..." The engineer walked along the surface of the ship, searching for that minor hull breach he'd heard about. There was some sort of growth coming out of the reported area. He pulled out his plasma cutter, turning it on. He burned away at the biomass, holding the flame up to it. It melted away. When he slid inside, he saw something horrific. A strange creature, had two large spike things protruding from it.  A girl was trapped on the wall by more biomass, but tentacles had extended from it into her mouth. Her skin was deteiorating, and one arm has a small blade protruding from it. He flicked switch on the plasma cutter, changing it to pulse mode. He pulled the trigger, a small bolt of plasma impacting the creature's face. It just got back up, headless, still walking towards him. He shot at it's chest frequently, but it just kept getting back up. It almost clawed him, but he shot the arms off. That seemed to deal it a huge blow...
He fired at the legs, too, and four tentacles pried open it's chest as it fell to the ground. Attached to the 'arms' were a small growth. The tentacle-creature simply crawled out and died. He brought a finger up to his head, turning on the earpiece. "Uh, sir, we have a bit of a problem..."

Who makes 'good opening stories'?
