My Xbox is old and can't run my copy of Fallout 3 anymore, for some reason.
If there's not a disc in the tray, it wont open and I have to use a knife to open it.
Sometimes even when there is a disc in it.
After playing F: NV or any other game for a while, it gets hot and takes about 3x the normal amount of time to load.
It's gotten three red rings three times, and each time barely recovered.

But I love it.

I repair consoles and you are overheating alot, are you willing to do some DIY work to make it better?

Alright, all you need is cotton swabs. Look up how to open your 360 and dust off all the dust on the Fans, Heatsinks, etc. Should make your 360 75% more quieter nao

Also, im not responsible for anything that happens to your 360 :P got to say it just incase :P

I keep trying to get my mom to get one of those newfangled 360s, but she wont.
I even have the perfect reasons:
Getting a wireless adapter for ours would cost about $100.
Buying a good-sized HDD to replace our 20GB one would also be about $100.
Getting the disc tray repaired would cost about $30-50.
Making it not overheat and slow down and be loud would end up around $100.
That's plenty of money saved by just buying a new Xbox.

You can also use a vacume with the brush attachment and use that aswell but careful as the capacitors can easily be pushed and moved around. You dont need to clean the whole MB but make sure both Fan and Heat-sinks are clean, those are probably your highest priority

I have an older Xbox 360 Pro 20gb   For me it's really not that hard to pay for the internet. The community is a lot bigger than PS3 but... PS3 does have some advantages. If my Xbox ever died I really couldnt decide on which to get another Xbox or a PS3 :I They both have the CoD's <3
