Well apparently there's like a 30-year-old black guy (hardcore enough to pass school buses) going to the same party as this thirteen-year-old and her friends. マホ~

I think she actually sounds better and writes more coherently than most of the metal the guys here listen to.

Not at all. You can't even compare metal and pop side by side, first off because they're completely different genres both in sound and purpose. Second, they actually play their instruments and write their music, putting honest hard work and meaning into the lyrics. Yes, some sound similar, but each band has their own twist and interesting addition to the metal scene, not to mention there are at least a dozen different types of metal.

Pop? The only real singing, if you can call it that, is the lead vocalist who is only supported by a machine. Even the singers voice, in pop, is typically auto-tuned even slightly.

I could go on, but I don't think I need to. You can't even compare the genres is my main point, so don't even bring the structure of the songs into this because regardless of the genre, most song structures are the same.

Her voice is terrible, where did she even come from

Well it was an unfair comparison,  comparing music to inducing such horrendous seizures on yourself to that you uncontrollably scratch the strings on your guitar and scream the "lyrics" in what appears to be agonizing pain in listening to your own guitar-scratchings. まほ~

Am I the only one who thinks this song infects your brain faster than the plague?

If you watched the interview, she sings a bit of the National Anthem and it's not half bad.

Most people that believe this are listening to the wrong kind of metal, and don't want to take the time to find the good stuff. The best metal in my opinion combines screaming with singing, and no "guitar scratching". Just catchy riffs, power chords maybe, and a well placed skillful solo every now and again. I typically tell people that hate metal is to listen to hard rock for a while that's still singing, but it works you towards appreciating metal. I see the appeal of alternative, or indie, or pop even, but other people need to open their ears to appreciate all genres of music.

After googling this for about 30 seconds I've come to some conclusions that left me with more questions:

She looks like a handicap. Is she handicapped? It might explain some of this.

Exactly what I'm saying.
She has an average teenage voice, and most people are saying that she's less than average.
She's not, autotune made it so however.

I'll agree there. Without all the makeup and stuff she looks really stupid.
:/

I can't  choose where to sit in the car! but it's okay cause it's FRIDAY FRIDAYFRIDAYFRIDAYWEKENDWEEKE NDWEEKENDFUNFUNFUNFUN

She seems nice and all, but her video sucks.

She's pretty nice, but that national anthem had some horrible notes.

Also, she ran out of breath on Liiight.

She's mediocre.

I dont think shes a bad singer.

I think her voice is annoying as hell, just like all the other good singers now adays.

But the song is terrible, and its loving hilarious because of it.
