Comparing V8 to V19 is like comparing a N64 to a 360
If you never played a N64 and just watch the "Crappy" gameplay, you are going to say its stuff yet the old folks like me who played N64 LOVE it.
I still play N64 games with my friends and its resting right ontop of my 360
I find Blockland Vanilla fun as forget at times over retail.
Older people who played back then understand and enjoy the past. The new kids in town think the old is crappy :P
N64. <3

V11, and V15 were good updates bro

It has nothing to do with IDs, idk where people got that assumption.

I was around before retail.

I've enjoyed all the updates.

I had great times when I brought a key during version 9. Maybe over some years we do say "Version 19 was better.. wish I could travel back into time..."

Previouse Versions = Oh man... Good times

Current Version = Made the game better! Finally

I think the nostalgia of it all makes it the best, I joined v11..v12 max, but still the best to me, not because of what was available, just the feel of figuring everything out.

I appreciated the slightly more accepting community back in V7-8, and I remember how simple the game actually was back then.

That being said, I do like the newer versions.  The variety of bricks and larger abundance of quality add-ons give builds a subsequent variety as well.  The events system is a plus, and the game's playability has grown as a whole with these newer versions.

Just for reference, my ID is 3270.

I liked all the versions except for v12-14. Those sucked. And I don't see why people like Vanilla or v00001 or whatnot. Its glitchy and half-assed.

I just think we don't actually appreciate the things until after they happen. During V7, you all weren't like "Oh I'm gonna remember this as the best version", you just played. Same with N64. You don't get to appreciate the memories until after they are made.

There's no point on saying versions, like, 16-18 were good. They went by in about a day because of Badspot not fixing stuff correctly.

Now Blockland is great, but there really isn't much left to improve upon aside from new addons and the like. And rightfully so. Badspot has worked hard to create a pretty kickass game to the point that not much needs to be done for it to already be flawless.
Theres definitely more that can be done. We still don't have many gamemodes that work around building. There are also more engine features on the same level as client side physics that can be added. Also, I'm sure we'll eventually get more features comparable to the website server browser.

Just changing the building process could make the game feel very different (such as changing to a Lego Creator style,) I think theres plenty left to improve on.

On topic: I'm pretty satisfied with today compared to back in v7-8. The team death-matches have improved a lot and there are more servers/people.

The people saying this probably think they are cool because they were on blockland on that time and are now trying to brag about it. Same thing happens in every game. The one thing they don't realize is what Heedicalking said: An updated game is better than one that has a lack of technology.

Someone needs to make another master server for v0002
Yes someone does
