Author Topic: beezid.com, real, or scam?  (Read 2706 times)

Yesterday, I was watching TV, and I saw an ad for this penny bidding website, called beezid.com and it looks pretty convincing, but I'm not 100% sure if this is a trusted site. So, take a look, and what do you think about it?

Things like this are more than commonly pure bullstuff.

Yes, because a scammer is going to pay up the ass for a commercial with hired actors for a website that you pay up to pennies every bid.

Watching live auctions and every time you bid while it's red, the timer resets to 0:15
Sounds lame since nobody can snipe the Ipod for $5.00

It's probably where you have to pay to be a member.
Most likely a scam though.

Yes, you're right.
They would.

They set the bidding price to a penney, then they let loose the users who raise the price of bidding.

Example:
User 1 bids one dollar
user 2 bid ten
user 3 bid forty

You're thinking about something else.
Nevermind, I'm thinking about something else.

Heres an example scam:
*You buy 40 tokens*
*You see an ipod for 0.01$*
*You bid on it for 1$*
*You refresh the page 2 seconds after you bidded*
*You see it raised to 1.01$*
*You use another token and it keeps repeating from step 1*

These websites don't make sense to me;

How is this legal at all?

sort of, each bid you make only raises the price by 1 cent. it doesn't work like ebay where you choose your bid.
