Author Topic: Scrolling vehicle speed  (Read 1779 times)

Would it be possible that when you scroll the mouse-wheel upward, the vehicle you're driving speeds up, and when you move it backwards it slows down?

Dunno if this is the right seciton or not

I don't believe so. I think that's a datablock setting. It'd be constantly changing that and forcing everyone else...

But I'm not 100% on this.

What would happen if you didn't have a Scroll Wheel?

(I do have one)

Maybe you could bind a key to something else in the controls tab

This would be bound to the key that scrolls up and down in tool menu.

Muhahahaha

Ok then it'll just bind the move forward/move backward key to change the speed that it goes at

Wasd =/= arrows

I've thought about this before. It would be good if you could adjust each instance of said vehicle to the users scroll wheel.

This would not be as easy to make as most of you think it would be.

I can't say impossible because I remember people mentioning certain functions that change things on vehicles, and I'm not sure if there's one for speed. Someone check?

I know there's a console command that can change a vehicle's speed, I just don't know it.

Yes it's possible. I have the script.
