From Dust

Description
"From Dust is a sandbox simulation video game designed by Eric Chahi that is currently in development. It was announced at E3 2010 with the working title Project Dust and later it received its final name. It will be released exclusively via digital distributors PSN, XBLA and Steam on the PC somewhere around 2011"

You can literally shape the world as you see fit, you can drag entities like sand for example and place it anywhere, vegetation also can grow and spread.
The game's liquid physics also seems very impressive, collapsing an island will cause the ocean to wash over it, raising will cause the water to flow downwards, back into the ocean.

So far the goal is apparently to save your people who seem to be the tribes around the island from the disasters nature causes.

Oh yes, earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunami's are all possible.

Multiplayer?

The game may possibly have multi-player but it is not confirmed.

"For the first release, it will be a solo experience," Chahi told us, explaining that, "We plan to have a major release where we can enhance the experience by adding an editor and a multiplayer mode, if the success is there."

So, hopefully this game will become a success when it is released in a few months time by Ubisoft.

Ugh, Ubisoft. Otherwise, looks incredible. Let's hope it doesn't become vaporware.

We needed a good From Dust thread.

I'm probably going to get this on the console seeing as this computer probably cannot run it :c

Skip is very interested in this game.

You're probably going to need a god tier computer to run this game.

this actually looks really cool, very interested.

Kate will do fine.

I remember seeing this when it was unveiled at a E3 2010, I really want this game to come out sooner.

Sounds like a Black & White 3 to me.

Saw this in a recent GameInformer Magazine, I am extremely intrested in this. Did they give an exact release date?
