Lol'd @ people bashing Apple despite its lead in the poll.

Hewlett-Packard is by far the best computer manufacturer.

My personal favorite has to be Apple but price wise I would choose either HP or Acer. One of the reasons I would choose HP and Acer too is because of Fraps and Sony Vegas.

I have a Toshiba laptop and Gateway desktop and they're both greeaat

There's a correlation between the idiots and the Apple votes  :cookieMonster:

Ibuypower is pretty cool, but they are barley a brand. They make fully customizable computers, so they basically build a computer for you.

I kinda like IBM.

Add "yourself" to the poll.

can't you just upgrade a prebuilt computer and get the same result?

As far as computer manufacturers go I have to agree that apple is the best.

I would have voted Apple, but due to my liking of hating Apple in any way possible, I picked Alienware.

I have a motherboard from Acer, but however in my opinion best choices would be Alienware or Apple. They are both money-whores but they do make some quality personal computers.

Just to address custom built computers, I dislike 'em just because I can't custom build a laptop  :cookieMonster: (or if I did, it would be hacky and bulky).

Beyond that, with a little time it is no hard job to find a computer with the spec I want that has the perfect visual design-- when I do the actual research I don't compromise just because someone else builds it. And its often the surprise of additional features that I didn't realize it had. For instance, I didn't realize my computer had an SD card slot, and only realized exactly what LightScribe was after I bought it which was awesome too.

I went with Apple since every other company on there produces computers I can easily make myself. At least with Apple you get something different in a shiny package.
