What she is saying is, you have no proof, it sounds made-up, and all you have on your side is trust from another person.  There is no use in arguing about this.

You're right, I'm not going to argue, though that seems to be what he/she wanted. I should focus on more important things, like getting Mako to stop crying in a nice, comforting way.
