Author Topic: Computer Viruses. You ever had any?  (Read 2821 times)

Talk about viruses here and how you got rid of it.

I got Backdoor.tidserv Because i became gay downloading stuff. Eventually i stopped. Installed norton security suite and it removed the backdoor.

Ran system update after i got rid of the virus and i couldn't boot up windows anymore. Thanks to system recovery i went back to my restore point. Apparently this virus infected my driver code. Thats the last time I'm gonna go Herp derp download.

Talk about serious viruses here.

My computer is so old and barely functional that viruses don't work on it any more.
I haven't had an antivirus installed for more than three years without any problems at all

Yes. Then I downloaded Avast.

pfft yeah, rogues rogues everywhere + 30 backdoors

loving easy to kill.

The Trojan may also be found in fake Torrent files and P2P downloads, cracks and warez Web sites

I dont get viruses, mainly because im a smart buyer surfer. Only time I got virus was when I hit that age of wanting to watch all the research in the world and when my family decides to click links to "MUST WATCH MOST AMAZING VIDEO EVA!" or "Congratulations! you just won!" stuff.

I, like most people, have gotten more viruses than I can count. Most of them are stuffty and can't cover their own tracks at all, but some are really nasty that take some digging to uproot (Antivirus 2010).

An antivirus with an original name. "Antivirus"
When i ran a full scan with norton. It only found a bunch of tracking cookies and a backdoor.

Ugh, I've had many viruses. The computer repair shop knows my mom's name by heart now. AVG is a great sheild, but isn't that good at removing stuff that does get through.

Remove avg and get MSE. Works better and its by microsoft.

Never gotten a virus, never has an anti-virus either.

I did get a keylogger once though, but it was given to me by friends.

Nice friends there. I recommend you install antivirus software even if you don't do random stuff. Viruses can come by randomly. Even if you be careful.
