He uses 98. Pretty much the same.
No, he is using Windows XP with the classic theme.
You can tell by looking at the start menu button which has the fancy XP version.

He probably didn't know and just guessed, or something like that.

- Start up My Computer
 - Go to C:
 - Go to Program Files (You should now be in C:\Program Files)
 - Find the Blockland folder. DO NOT go in it yet.
 - Right-click on it
 - Select properties
 - Un-tick the box that says "read-only" and click apply. (A message box will appear, select "Apply to all subfolders and files")
 - Go into the Blockland folder now.
 - Right-click on the Cache.db
 - Select properties
 - Un-tick the box that says "read-only" and click apply.

what folder is your blockland installed in?
you can see that from the shortcut properties.  -- click on the "general" tab from the screenshot you posted.

if blockland is in C:\program files\blockland you can try re-isntalling to a different folder.  I use C:\games\blockland and ive never had any sqlite problems.
Theres no need to do anything to your current install while you try this.

When you install it, you should be able to choose a location.

Make sure to choose custom/advanced installation if you are given the option.
