Author Topic: Freshman Year of High-School?  (Read 844 times)

I just wanted to know how your freshman year of high-school was like.  How was your first day, how did you prepare yourself for high-school, etc?

well...
first year of high school so far is stuff for me...
but the staff are nice.

It was good but very stressful.

I held together until I got home, when I went to buy a drink and the machine ate my change. I proceeded to rage.

My first day was really weird. Went from being top dog of middle school to the piece of stuff in high school.

My first year itself was awful; I was used by a girl, and totally didn't expect her to just start avoiding me at all costs. So I was depressed for at least 8 months of my Freshman year. But other than that, I made some new friends that carried onto the following two years (I'm a Junior now.)

highschool was the same as jr high. cept more girl chasing.

Last year was my freshman year, and it was stuff. Everyone made fun of me because of my glasses and stuff, they always thought that I was weak because I wore "boring" clothes. Then, I beat the stuff out of them, it was nice.

My freshman year of high school was pretty goofy so I can't really give you any great advice. There's this thing in the US called the IB program, which is basically like AP except European and accepted at less colleges. My high school had some silly pre-IB program that you had to take for two years (never saw it again at any school that offered IB courses), so I was in classes with a bunch of other people who were kind of geeky. It was also an inter-city school. Then we had a bad hurricane around October that closed down the school for over a month, a bunch of people lost their homes, parts of our gym collapsed and the auditorium eventually had to get demolished because of asbestos and mold. After my first year at the school I moved all the way across the nation and went to a totally different school.

Just some general advice I guess, join some clubs because it's a good way to meet people and make lots of friends.

Mine was okay, but it didn't hold a candle to my sophomore year, and that wasn't as good as junior, etc

Mine was cool, but I went to a school where nobody knew one another.  I had fun, the work wasn't too hard once you figured out study methods.  Just be willing to give up some of your weekend.

I met some awesome people, though.

My Freshman year was great, but everybody knows Senior year is the best.

If you live in America, you're pretty much forgeted in the Freshman year.
