Author Topic: I'm making a BYOND game [NEED HELP WITH SPRITES]  (Read 2014 times)

I decided to make this game for one of my classes. I have no idea what the storyline is. I could use some help with sprites and such if anybody wants to help. Just PM me with some sample sprites. Also, I was inspired by Orthrones "Tweed".

I got some places with it, i could use somebody to mess with the player so he walk and stuff.

Also i could use some people to help me out with this.

PICS:

I could use somebody to make him walking and stuff.

OBJECTIVES:
Story line: Not started
Other mobs and sprites: Started
Multiplayer: Not started

Do you know how to use the byond engine?

Do you have any experience with C++? If not, then you need to brush up on your coding skills.

Pics of current progress or you're not going to get much help.

My dad has some books on C++ that I'll be using.

I just started the other day and I need to remake the grass and water and stuff, but I'll probably fix them today so I can upload pictures.

Why are people so inspired by the things I do?! asdf..
First the Let's Play series, and 3 things pop up from that, and now 2 games pop up from me working on Tweed.

Oh well, good luck with your game. I would suggest one of these tutorials if you're completely new to the program. She's fairly good at explaining how to do things, and even gives you a few challenges at the end of the tutorial to test if you've really learned anything. Try not to copy/paste, and attempt to understand what each thing does.

Speaking of TWEED, how goes it?
Again, if you can show me any progress or plans, I'll help.

Well, this is Maze's topic, don't want to clutter it up with off-topic things. Sent you a PM. Just in case you can't PM me for some reason..

Why the forget are you bringing up C++? BYOND's coding style is nothing like C++

DM language details

The DM (Dream Maker) language uses a syntax similar to C/C++ to build networked multi-user worlds. This reference and the accompanying guide discuss the structure and function of DM.

Oh my. :o
It appears I'm mistaken then. I haven't glanced at BYOND since I was messing with SS13. My apologies.

I could write storyline for 50$

I could write a better one for free.

Hahahahah. You cant code by just reading some books. The languages are not that alike friend.
