My new GPU isn't working.

Well, my new msi 560ti has been giving me a lot of trouble since I installed it. I was wondering if my problems were compatibility problems. I have both and Amd processor and motherboard so I thought they might conflict with the nvidia card. I think the system is having trouble loading the drivers. I meet the PSU requirements. When I have the drivers installed (I don't have them installed now) I cannot turn on my computer, the display drivers fail and do not recover.

Motherboard: ASUS M4A77TD Pro (AMD 770/SB710 Chipset)
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM

8gb ram is all the computer uses at one time amrite? Like it won't use more than 8gb even if you have 9gb?

I know you can return it if it came broken, missing parts, or other stuff like that. But I don't know for your problem.

I just swapped in my old one and it appears to be working fine, my dad and I are just going to try and return it to new egg. I'm going to get a 6950 instead.

Did you make sure to uninstall the old drivers and install the new ones?

That's generally something most people overlook.

Yeah I did. I used driver sweeper to make sure I got them all.

Did you rely on a program to download them for you? If so it more than likely got out of date/the wrong drivers.


If you used it to check that you got them all, then that's a different story.

no I got the newest drivers from nvidia's website.
