Read it in the OP.

and weep. Hard.

I read it, and this was my reaction:

That's it?

And I doubt that it could run GTA IV on max. :o
EDIT: Well, I suppose it could, but not with the best performance.

It can't.

Right now.

but it will.

OH IT WILL

YOU'LL SEE

HAHHAHAHAHA

The "Will" specs aren't the best gaming specs, you realize
But you probably could get it on highest, except with shadows on just high and draw distance half-way down.

I am well aware of the power of the specs.

WinXP Home
Celeron 2.70GHZ cpu
760mb ram
Intel 845 Chipset

:c
Intel atom 1.6 (with hyperthreading, but thats bs.)
Intel GMA 950
I think it has 1 ghz of RAM, but 512 mbs goes to Windows.
Xp

I believe the correct term is GB, not Ghz.

How would I properly pick out a PSU?

Nooo :(

Don't go on page 2.

Just make sure it fits in your case. If your case is just a normal microATX case, get a microATX power supply (I think some ATX power supplies MIGHT fit in some microATX cases. But i don't really know for sure). As far as wattage, you won't need much for a system like this. 300W would honestly be fine, but some people might tell you to get more.

I think youre right.

Fred, you do realize that you're upgrading a 5 year old system which has a very weak CPU which cannot be replaced (at least not without a BIOS update) and won't run any modern games? Trust me, I've done the same mistake as you and I regret it. I upgraded a Socket 478 Pentium IV-system by replacing it's ATi Radeon 9200 SE with a Nvidia GeForce 6200A. Six months later the mobo broke, and none of the parts could be re-used in my next comp.

Yes, I realize it. It's kind of the whole point.

I doubt that case will support an ATX mobo.

The point of this build is to waste money? I still think you should downgrade to XP. The only features that will be missing are support for more than 3.5 GB memory (sometimes lower) and the lack of DX10+. The first could be overcame by enabling PAE (Physical Adress Extension(doesn't always work, though)), and for the second one this computer just isn't powerful enough to utilize it, even with a new GPU. Another argument against XP is the ugly default theme, but you can install 3rd-party themes if you patch UXTheme.dll (can be done with free software).
But hey, it's your money.
