Author Topic: FSX landings...  (Read 1105 times)

So I would like to learn to not "stall land", and to have my passengers not think they are going to die.  I have coincidentially made this video in which you can see what I mean by "stall landing".

Disclaimer: yes, I know qualaty is bad. Peel with it.

And I know Im flaring a ton, im trying not to crash...

More power?

I generally try to come in very horizontally doing a fully powered landing. A ways from the strip, kill off lots of altitude by cutting down on engines. Stay low as you approach the strip. If you're gonna land short or far, adjust engine speed, NOT CLIMB, accordingly. Theoretically, you should be able to come in to a nice, smooth landing.

Why did you post this in games? Go to gallery or something.

Holy stuff why is everyone that usually never posts posting here? And it looked like he was flying a Blockland plane because of the bad lighting in the video.

Get your eyes checked

I am good at landing in this simulator.

The truth is, there are no good crashes in FSX. All you get it an impact, or sparks. That's it.

oh, it's sitting on my desk right now. somebody should buy me acceleration. D:

hey i would be happy to help you improve your landings .
one thing to try is an ILS landing kind of complex but if you would like i can show you how
if you have a mic and are ably to play FSX online

oh and the acceleration causes FSX to crash alot on most computers fyi

I have an idea on how that works, I might try that.

And another thing that may be a somewhat factor in this is my joysticks sensitivity may be a little too high...

don't land from outside view

Easy. Point the nose of the plane down, then pull up to about level when you are almost touching the ground. Hey, what airport are you approaching in the video? Just curious.

X-plane is a better preforming game imo.
